Festival of Leaves 2016: The End.

Dear leaf lovers,

Autumn seems to be over, the leaves which are still clinging to their branches will soon be gone and the cold is taking over. I had an absolutely amazing time and I hope you did, too. I am so grateful for all of you who participated and hunted leaves for this challenge. Your pictures were so beautiful and making a little gallery out of them was probably my favourite part of the Mondays.

I wish you all a wonderful Christmas time if you are celebrating it, a happy New Year 2017 and I hope to see you all again next year! It was a pleasure hosting this challenge for so many talented photographers.

(some shameless self-promotion: I’m making a little Advent Calendar over on my blog verenacave.wordpress.com so you are getting a drawing a day! Also, you can read every text I wrote for NaNoWriMo 2016! About environment, art, books and so much more! A little read for the cold winter days…)

I wish you all the best

Lots of Love

Winner of Week 7

It’s Ellen!

Her picture shows contrasts – of colour, of light, of time. Autumn and summer combined. She experiments with colour, with black and white, she shows us how simple beauty can be. Just a little brown leaf that fell on some flowers but wonderful in the composition.

Festival of Leaves 2016: Week 8

Hello and welcome to Week 8 of the Festival!

As autumn goes on, your photos get more and more colourful. We also have a new participant, Middle Europe’s blog!

This weekend I visited Potsdam with a friend, it’s near Berlin and it is an absolutely beautiful city. So many cute little roads with shops and restaurants and markets… We loved it.

It’s one of my favourite things to do in autumn: Visit new places and explore cities. Which are your favourite cities? Where do you love to go?

Have a nice week and thank you so much for taking part!  x

Festival of Leaves 2016: Week 5

My friends!
It’s October! Can you believe it? Time’s going too fast, now the new semester is starting again and the leaves are also starting to change their colours. It’s lovely to see and I am so happy that you are having fun with this little challenge.

Tell me, what do you love to do in Autumn? Do you search for mushrooms, do you read in the morning light wrapped up in a blanket? Do you cook pumpkin soup? What do you love about Autumn?

Have a lovely week xxx

Festival of Leaves 2016: Week 4

It’s officially autumn now! You can feel it in the air – it’s getting cold quickly and as you have shown the leaves are starting to show some lovely colours. To mix the format up a bit I thought, I’d make a little galery of you beautiful entries:

Have a wonderful week!
